85th Anniversary Celebration Begins with Monthly Giveaways

In honor of the first official meeting of the Wharton County Electric Cooperative’s Board of Directors held on March 18, 1938, our 85th-anniversary celebrations will kick off with a series of monthly giveaways.

Beginning this month and continuing through National Cooperative Month in October, WCEC will be giving away an $85 bill credit each month to one lucky member.
WCEC members can receive entries into the current month’s drawing by enrolling in or joining several of WCEC’s member programs such as Operation Round Up or AutoPay. Entries can also be received for participating in our new learning opportunities consisting of themed email campaigns and Lunch & Learn webinars.

“We are excited to give back to our members over the next few months in honor of our 85th anniversary,” WCEC’s GM/CEO Gary Raybon says. “This is a major milestone for the cooperative, and we wanted to share it with our members. We would not be here today without them.”

The giveaways are open to current members of Wharton County Electric Cooperative only. Ways to enter to win the $85 bill credit each month include:

• Register on SmartHub and sign up for paperless billing.

• Enroll in AutoPay.

• Join Operation Round Up.

• Sign up for Load Management Program.

• Complete an email series.

• Participate in a Lunch & Learn event.

• Attend the 85th Anniversary Celebration.

• Look for #85for85 on WCEC’s social media for more ways to enter each month.

Good luck to all our members in the coming months!
